ABOUT Bit-A-Blend

Bit-A-Blend, a division of Central IL Asphalt founded in 1984, took a pioneering step in 2001 by utilizing its additives to create an easy and cost-effective method for incorporating tire rubber – GTR – into asphalt without increasing stickiness or requiring additional heat. To date, millions of tons of rubberized asphalt have been produced and are actively being used across various states and counties, enhancing the durability and safety of roads through this innovative process.

Since 2015, Bit-A-Blend has provided over 275,000 pounds of rejuvenators to cities and contractors in the USA and Canada, facilitating the recycling of asphalt.

This commitment to sustainability and innovation not only contributes to the longevity of roads but also significantly reduces environmental impact by repurposing materials that would otherwise contribute to landfill waste. By integrating tire rubber into asphalt, Bit-A-Blend has helped to lower greenhouse gas emissions and decrease reliance on virgin materials, setting a benchmark for eco-friendly construction practices.

Furthermore, Bit-A-Blend's dedication to quality and customer satisfaction ensures that municipalities and contractors receive products that not only meet but exceed industry standards. Their continuous research and development efforts keep them at the forefront of sustainable infrastructure solutions, demonstrating that environmental responsibility and engineering excellence can go hand in hand.

As communities and cities increasingly prioritize green initiatives, Bit-A-Blend remains a leader in providing practical solutions that align with these goals, paving the way for a more sustainable future in infrastructure development.
